Yarnell Fire District

Wildland Season

Wildland season got a late start. The season’s start was late due to mild temperatures early this summer. But now, YFD wildland firefighters are very active, with personnel our on State cooperator assignments. That is an indication that the season may also run well into the fall months, especially after the current heatwave.

As always, homeowners and renters must do their part to prevent wildfires from igniting, and to be careful that their space is defensible just in case. Storms are frightening to many in the community because we have witnessed what lightning can do. Please rest assured that the Yarnell Fire District always retains wildland firefighters at home for local response.

Be cautious and alert; let’s work together for the community’s safety.
