A “Stage 1” ban is being established by the Yarnell Fire District, in cooperation with Yavapai County Emergency Management Office and regional agencies-Prescott Fire Department, Central Yavapai Fire District, Chino Valley Fire District and Prescott National Forest. This restriction is in place due to heat, dry conditions, and wind.

This Stage 1 Burn Restriction means:

·Use of model rockets is PROHIBITED

·Use of fireworks and other pyrotechnic displays are PROHIBITED except by commercial special events permit

·NO smoking outside of vehicles, outside of residential yards, or outside of designated smoking areas

·Cooking on covered charcoal grills and use of store bought fire pits(screened) is ALLOWED at single and multi-family residences and Town parks(where approved) but MUST BE attended at all times.

Yarnell Fire District encourages all residents to be especially careful and to report smoke or the smell of smoke immediately by calling 911.
